About Alaska Radiologic Allied Health Jobs
Radiologic Allied Health jobs are regulated by the Alaska Medical Board. The State Medical Board of Alaska adopts regulations to carry out the laws governing the practice of Medicine in Alaska. It makes final licensing decisions and takes disciplinary action against medical professionals practicing in Alaska who violate the licensing laws.
Performs a variety of technical procedures according to national standards. Performs MRI examinations according to physician order and written policy, using sophisticated equipment. Utilizes knowledge and judgment in regard to imaging factors, imaging technique and patient care needed to produce optimal images.
Documentation: Responsible for accurately completing records, daily quality assurance and meeting regulatory standards.
Equipment: Siemens 1.5 and 3T. Calibrates, maintains and troubleshoots equipment. Optimizes equipment and supplies to benefit operations.
Safety and Education: Communicates with physicians and other members of the team concerning patient status, diagnosis, or related information.
Operates multiple communication and telecommunication systems. Coordinates scheduling for diagnostic exams.
Communicates with team members by regular participation in staff meetings.
Implements care/services that recognize age/diversity specific needs/issues of customers served.
Job Qualifications:
Education: Successful completion of an AMA approved training program for radiologic technology.
Experience: Current MRI Technologist with minimum 5 years experience must have 5 years current experience with Siemens 1.5 and 3T. Syngo, PACs and telecommunication experience needed. CT experience strongly prefered as well.
Licensure/Certifications: Must be ARRT registered w/ advanced registry in MR or ARMRIT; documentation is required at time of application.
Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language.
