Echocardiography Lab Supervisor

Responsibilities: This position serves as the Adult Echocardiography Lab Supervisor and functions under the direction of the Cardiology Non-Invasive Labs Manager to supervise Sr. Cardiovascular Ultrasound technicians. The Adult Echo Lab Supervisor is accountable for providing day-to-day operations of the Echocardiography Lab. This position provides recommendations regarding operational and administrative matters, monitors and analyzes technical performance, and makes recommendations designed to improve or enhance clinical performance and unit efficiency.

Requirements: Must be RDCS eligible; five years recent experience as a Cardiac Ultrasonographer in an acute care setting preferred. Prior supervisory or leadership experience. Advanced knowledge and skills to perform a full range of adult Echocardiography procedures. Working knowledge of the technical techniques, indications for and complications of all major non-invasive cardiology procedures, including cardiac stress testing, and EKG. Advanced knowledge of the physiology, symptoms and treatments of CAD, CHF and major dysrthymias.
