About Illinois Interventional Radiology Jobs
Interventional Radiology jobs are regulated by the Illinois Medical Board. As part of the Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation, the mission of the Illinois Medical Licensing and Disciplinary Boards is to serve, safeguard, and promote the public welfare by ensuring that licensure qualifications and standards for professional practice are properly evaluated, accurately applied and vigorously enforced. These boards advise the Department and the Secretary on the qualifications of applicants for licensure as physicians in Illinois as well as on the appropriate form of discipline for misconduct by medical professionals.
NorthShore University HealthSystem Medical Group, the principal teaching affiliate of The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, seeks a fifth BC/CAQ Interventional Radiologist to join an extremely collegial team. We have a busy, growing, and exciting 100% interventional radiology practice where we perform the full range of procedures including stent-grafts, uterine fibroid embolization, varicose vein ablation, vertebroplasty/kyphoplasty, interventional oncology, etc. We also read non-invasive vascular imaging (MRA and CTA) and work collaboratively with cardiologists and vascular surgeons in our progressive Endovascular Center. Your patients will have access to the state-of-the-art facilities and equipment including a total of five modern Siemens angiography suites.
The Radiology Department, under the Chairmanship of Robert Edelman, MD, performs approximately 400,000 exams annually. Staff radiologists have academic appointments at the University of Chicago Medical Center and oversee training of Interventional Radiology fellows and residents. Basic science and clinical research opportunities exist and are fully supported by the department which boasts a 10,000 square foot radiology research facility with 1.5 Tesla and 3.0 Tesla whole-body MR systems.
Applicants must be board certified and CAQ-eligible or certified in Interventional Radiology. This will be a full-time, non-tenured position with academic rank to be determined by the candidate's qualifications. Salary is negotiable.
