DIVISION DIRECTOR
INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY
SINAI HOSPITAL OF BALTIMORE
Assume leadership of a dedicated Endovascular practice with a tradition of embracing cutting edge technologies. Sinai Hospital of Baltimore is a 446 Bed Community Hospital and is part of LifeBridge Health, a successful, well funded healthcare organization whose facilities also include Northwest Hospital (20 minutes from Sinai). You will practice in a state of the art Endovascular Department completely separate from Diagnostic Radiology. Your staff will consist of two other Vascular Interventional Radiologists as well as a Neuro Interventionalist who is part of the IR call group (1:4 Call Schedule).
Facilities at Sinai include two IR suites doing between 15 and 30 procedures per day as well as a recently installed Neuro Interventional Biplane room. They also have an Outpatient Interventional Radiology office/exam room in a modern Medical building on the hospital campus. The support staff at Sinai consists of four technicians and three nurses. Northwest Hospital's procedure room has a Flat Panel Detector.
The Sinai group is respected throughout the Baltimore area, and has begun receiving additional patients from other Baltimore area hospitals with lesser Interventional capabilities. The Department has traditionally enjoyed a high level of interaction and cooperation with the Medical staff of the hospital, including Sinai's state of the art Cancer Center, where Interventional Radiologists participate in the weekly Tumor Board meetings and have research and publication opportunities. Other features include potential teaching opportunities with Sinai's full Internal Medicine, OB/GYN and Pediatric Residency programs and their General Surgery Residency as well as Orthopedic Fellows and Residents who regularly rotate through the hospital. You will maintain a strong hands-on clinical orientation while spearheading programs to improve efficiency.
Minimum requirements include successful completion of Radiology Residency and Interventional Fellowship programs; ABR Board Certification required, CAQ in Interventional Radiology a plus; solid Interventional Radiology practice background with a wide range of the latest procedures; and some prior leadership responsibilities.
