About Interventional Radiology Jobs
Interventional radiology (IR) is a subspecialty of medical imaging that specializes in minimally invasive procedures with the use of fluoroscopy, CT, MRI, and ultrasound. Some procedures are for diagnostic purposes like angiograms, while others are done for treatment such as angioplasties.
The use of needles or catheters are used when performing procedures such as biopsies, draining fluids, inserting catheters, or dilating or stenting narrowed ducts or vessels.(Source: radiologyinfo.com and Wikipedia)
Large group of Radiologists would like to hire an Interventional Radiologist to do up to 100% IR. Partnership pay over $500k + benefits, ten weeks vacation, two years to partnership. Can do MR, CT, US, etc , no Mammo. The ideal candidate is fellowship trained in IR, board certified in Radiology and has passed CAQ. The radiologist should be comfortable with all aspects of interventional radiology including vascular procedures(stent and angioplasty), dialysis catheters, vertebroplasty, nephrostomy procedures, oncologic treatments.
Would prefer someone who could grow the practice. A recent graduate or someone who has been out of training less than 10 years.
