San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC) is seeking one full time Academic Diagnostic Radiologist to provide professional radiology services in the Department of Radiology. Employment will be by personal services contract. Period needed is on 1 Oct 2016 to 30 September 2017, with four (4) one (1) year options ending 30 September 2021. One individual contract will be awarded. Contractor shall provide radiology services in all modalities and report directly to the Chief, Diagnostic Radiology Service.

Applicant must be a medical doctor (MD) or doctor of osteopathy (DO) who at a minimum, is board certified by the American Board of Radiology or its equivalent. Candidate must meet or exceed currently recognized national standards and must have and maintain a valid unrestricted state license. Applicant shall be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM), www.samgov. SAMMC requires one (1) full-time radiologist with the skills in general diagnostic radiology with a minimum of three (3) years academic experience teaching in a radiology residency training program with proven ability to perform research. Applicant with subspecialty fellowship training in Chest, Cardiac, and Body imaging are preferred. However, all candidates with special skills to offer the program will be considered.

Applicant shall be rated and ranked according to the following criteria; (a) prior clinical experience; (b) prior education; (c) teaching experience; and (d) academic credentials. Military experience is desired but not required.
