About Mammography Jobs
Mammography is a system that produces breasts images using a low-dose x-ray system. Viewing of the images can be done in various formats such as film at a view box or on a digital mammography work station. Mammography plays an important role in early detection of breast cancers because it can show changes in breasts up to two years before it can be felt.
Current guidelines recommend mammography screening every year for women, beginning at age 40. However women who have had breast cancer and those who are at increased risk of breast cancer should seek expert medical advice when they should begin mammograms and about the frequency of screening. A single specialty practice near the Monterey Bay of California, one of the most desirable places on the pacific coast, is looking for an interventional radiologist to join the 12 person group. The group is located in the pristine California valley area, close to many national parks and the coast. The group staffs three hospitals and two outpatient imaging centers, which they own. For a recent graduate, starting salary is about $300,000 with 8 weeks vacation and the partnership track is 2 years. They have PACS, Nighthawk and wonderful equipment. This is a very democratic group that has been in existence for over 30 years. They enjoy a very good relationship with each other and the hospital.
