About Mammography Jobs
Mammography is a system that produces breasts images using a low-dose x-ray system. Viewing of the images can be done in various formats such as film at a view box or on a digital mammography work station. Mammography plays an important role in early detection of breast cancers because it can show changes in breasts up to two years before it can be felt.
Current guidelines recommend mammography screening every year for women, beginning at age 40. However women who have had breast cancer and those who are at increased risk of breast cancer should seek expert medical advice when they should begin mammograms and about the frequency of screening. Breast MR, Interventional
Here is a fantastic opportunity for a fellowship trained radiologist to get a fair amount of their subspecialty while enjoying a four day work week.
The group feels that a strength in Breast MR or Interventional is probably the best fit. There's plenty of Breast MR and Women's Imaging. The Interventionalist can expect about 30% IR, some vascular work and quite a bit of pain management. Three rads in the group are interventionalists and they have two PA's that help with IR call.
