About Mammography Jobs
Mammography is a system that produces breasts images using a low-dose x-ray system. Viewing of the images can be done in various formats such as film at a view box or on a digital mammography work station. Mammography plays an important role in early detection of breast cancers because it can show changes in breasts up to two years before it can be felt.
Current guidelines recommend mammography screening every year for women, beginning at age 40. However women who have had breast cancer and those who are at increased risk of breast cancer should seek expert medical advice when they should begin mammograms and about the frequency of screening. California Radiology Opening
A thriving single specialty group in northern California is offering a one year partnership track position for an interventional radiologist. The group staffs three hospitals and three imaging centers in which they have a significant ownership stake in the facilities and equipment. The compensation package includes a base salary in the $250,000 range to start and will be in the $400,000 range after obtaining partnership. They also provide a bonus plan as well as an excellent benefit package. The group values their leisure time and provides 8 weeks of vacation the first year and then up to 14 weeks as a partner. They have Nighthawk as well as PACS so the work environment is very comfortable. The practice is located in an outdoor enthusiasts paradise. Yosemite National Park and the Sierra Nevada mountain range are nearby providing outstanding mounting biking climbing, hiking and skiing opportunities.
