About Mammography Jobs
Mammography is a system that produces breasts images using a low-dose x-ray system. Viewing of the images can be done in various formats such as film at a view box or on a digital mammography work station. Mammography plays an important role in early detection of breast cancers because it can show changes in breasts up to two years before it can be felt.
Current guidelines recommend mammography screening every year for women, beginning at age 40. However women who have had breast cancer and those who are at increased risk of breast cancer should seek expert medical advice when they should begin mammograms and about the frequency of screening. Lucrative opportunity with Private Radiology practice in North Carolina, convenient to Beaches, Mountains and Metropolitan Centers.
This very stable group has both hospital and outpatient center sites and is experiencing strong growth in Women's Imaging including the addition of Digital Mammography. This position is due to expasion.
They are looking for an additional Radiologist with solid skills in Breast MR and Mammography with the option to perform any and all Breast procedures including Stereotactic and MRI Guided Biopsies as well as related Ultrasound and CT studies and all breast intervention.
You will have a solid focus in Breast Imaging including the option to keep your general skills current and have a future opportunity to grow into 100% Women's Imaging case if desired .
There is no call ,no nights, no weekends. However you will have to option to have some call for extra income if so desired but it is not required.
