About California Mammography Jobs
Mammography jobs are regulated by the California Medical Board. The mission of the Medical Board of California is to protect healthcare consumers through the proper licensing and regulation of physicians and surgeons and certain allied healthcare professions and through the vigorous, objective enforcement of the Medical Practice Act, and, to promote access to quality medical care to all California citizens through the Board's licensing and regulatory functions.
We invite you to join our dedicated breast center's team as a second full-time Breast Imaging Radiologist. As a member of our staff you’ll have the opportunity to work with our team of highly knowledgeable technologists and primary breast imaging radiologist. You'll interpret all forms of breast imaging, including digital mammography, breast ultrasounds, breast MRI, as well as perform ultrasound-guided biopsies, MRI-guided breast biopsies, stereotactic biopsies, and preoperative localizations.
Our state of the art high volume outpatient women's center is located in Rancho Mirage. It has 3 GE digital mammography rooms and 2 ultrasound rooms (one dedicated for invasive procedures). In addition, there are 2 satellite screening units covering other areas of the Coachella Valley. The center is dedicated to women's health and wellness, and participates in multi-disciplinary breast cancer conferences led by breast surgeons with offices in the same building. Next to our facility is a full service outpatient surgery center. Rancho Mirage is in the heart of the Southern California desert resort communities (Palm Springs area). It is less than 2 hours from Big Bear Mountain where there is skiing in the winter, and the Pacific Ocean where you can spend time at the beach.
This is an excellent and challenging career opportunity for a breast imager with extensive experience or fellowship training to practice exclusively in breast imaging. We also require Board Certification, CA State Licensure, an X-Ray Supervisor License, and certification as an interpreting physician under MSQA.
We offer a warm and professional environment, team oriented support from our network of specialists, competitive pay, excellent benefits, no on-call/night/weekend duty, 8 weeks of PTO, paid holidays, 401k, credit union membership, free radiology services for employees and their immediate family members, and a host of other perks!
