About Mammography Jobs
Mammography is a system that produces breasts images using a low-dose x-ray system. Viewing of the images can be done in various formats such as film at a view box or on a digital mammography work station. Mammography plays an important role in early detection of breast cancers because it can show changes in breasts up to two years before it can be felt.
Current guidelines recommend mammography screening every year for women, beginning at age 40. However women who have had breast cancer and those who are at increased risk of breast cancer should seek expert medical advice when they should begin mammograms and about the frequency of screening. Body Imaging Radiologist
Large Florida private practice has a job opportunity for a hardworking, fellowship trained, General Radiologist who has a current MQSA in Mammography. Modalities represented in this practice are CT, MRI, US, Plain Films, Fluoro, Nuclear, PET, Mammography, and Bone Density. The group has separate interventional radiologists to handle all of the interventional procedures. They prefer individuals who are interested in growing an aggressive private practice. The candidate should be in the top 1/3 in speed and training skill. This group can accommodate a wide variety of sub-specialty skills and no matter what area of interest this person may have, they must be able to read a stack of ER/inpatient CTs and MRs with speed, confidence, and accuracy.
