About Mammography Jobs
Mammography is a system that produces breasts images using a low-dose x-ray system. Viewing of the images can be done in various formats such as film at a view box or on a digital mammography work station. Mammography plays an important role in early detection of breast cancers because it can show changes in breasts up to two years before it can be felt.
Current guidelines recommend mammography screening every year for women, beginning at age 40. However women who have had breast cancer and those who are at increased risk of breast cancer should seek expert medical advice when they should begin mammograms and about the frequency of screening. Northern Illinois Radiology Opening
A single specialty radiology group is offering a partnership position for a radiologist capable in multiple modalities. The main criterion is a comfort and willingness to read a variety of cases. This is long standing group that his been around northern Illinois since the 1950's. Over the years they have grown to a group of fourteen, and new business in the area drives their need to hire additional people. This is a tight knit group of radiologists and they hope to find someone who values camaraderie and a good working environment. They staff two hospitals with PACS, and Nighthawk is in place. This group offers a very attractive financial package. They plan on starting someone off in excess of $325,000 and partners are making over $650,000. One of the unique things about this group is that call and vacation is equal from day one. Everyone takes call once a week and everyone takes 12 weeks of vacation.
