About Mammography Jobs
Mammography is a system that produces breasts images using a low-dose x-ray system. Viewing of the images can be done in various formats such as film at a view box or on a digital mammography work station. Mammography plays an important role in early detection of breast cancers because it can show changes in breasts up to two years before it can be felt.
Current guidelines recommend mammography screening every year for women, beginning at age 40. However women who have had breast cancer and those who are at increased risk of breast cancer should seek expert medical advice when they should begin mammograms and about the frequency of screening. Neuroradiology and Women's Imaging
This very stable group of 16 radiologists have been established since 1972. They have state of the art equipment, PACS in place and Nighthawk services that start at 12PM to 8AM. There are two outpatient centers where the mammographer will be working.
They have two needs,
The first is for a mammographer. This can be up 100% mammo partnership offered to take call 1:6 weekends (option for no call, no week-ends, there would be no partnership offered for this schedule) The group will also look at candidates that want to do a 60% mammo-40% general radiology split for example, but they MUST be MQSA certified. Ideally they should be experienced in steareotactic biopsies, drains, needlocs. The group does have digital services, breast MR.
The second need is for a Neuroradiologist to join three others. This candidate has to have completed an accredited fellowship program. Call would be 1:6 week-ends. Will look at 2010 Fellows.
