About Mammography Jobs
Mammography is a system that produces breasts images using a low-dose x-ray system. Viewing of the images can be done in various formats such as film at a view box or on a digital mammography work station. Mammography plays an important role in early detection of breast cancers because it can show changes in breasts up to two years before it can be felt.
Current guidelines recommend mammography screening every year for women, beginning at age 40. However women who have had breast cancer and those who are at increased risk of breast cancer should seek expert medical advice when they should begin mammograms and about the frequency of screening. Mammographer needed
A group of 20 full-time radiologists, are looking to add an additional Mammographer. The group covers 3 hospitals, totaling 669 beds, and one of the hospitals is a level 2 trauma center. They also have 3 imaging centers, including an extensive freestanding imaging center. There is a fully integrated freestanding business office and billing service which supports a 24/7 computer and teleradiology network support service. This group has exclusive contracts and great relations with the hospital administrations for the past 45 years. You can expect at least 60% Breast imaging including screenings, diagnostics, stereotactic biopsies, breast biopsies, etc. The remainder of your time will be spent doing general diagnostic work. Night call coverage by night-hawk service. PACS system is in place and and have digital mammography. Initial salary is negotiable and there is only a 1 year partnership-track with buy-in of accounts receivable, assets, and property. Timing of partnership, buy-in decision and terms flexible.
