Mammography jobs are regulated by the Wyoming Medical Board. The Wyoming Board of Medicine exists to serve and protect the public through licensing and disciplining physicians and physician assistants under the authority of the Medical Practice Act. The Board protects the public by assuring Wyoming citizens that physicians licensed in this state are competently trained and practicing within appropriate standards. A group of 3 radiologists (all partners) is looking to add a radiologist, as one is retiring. The group covers a 110 bed hospital as well as a smaller hospital via telerad. They do around 48K exams a year. They have very good and stable relations with the hospital administration, as a few members sit on the board. You can expect to read all modalities including: MR, MRA, CT, CTA, MSK, Neuro, Peds, US (General/Vascular/OB), Plain films, Mammo, Nuc Med, Nuc Cardiac, Echo cardio, Fluoro, basic IR (biopsies, drainages, thora's, para's, PICC lines with angio and stenting being a plus, but not required), and arthrograms (all joints). Equipment includes: 64-slice Phillips CT; Phillips 3T MR; digital full-field Mammography-Siemens; Mobile PET unit; 2 Accuson US units; and Novaren PACS. Call will be a 1:3 with a nighthawk inplace from 10pm-7am Monday through Sunday. Initial income is at least $400K with every third week off (about 17 weeks vacation- Equal to partners!!) Partnership is negotiable depending on experience, but no more than 18 months. Partner earnings are in excess of $700K. If any bonuses, they are paid quarterly. Benefits include: malpractice paid; 17 weeks vacation; $5K CME stipend; Medical, dental, disability, and life insurances; pension/profit sharing plans; and hospital pays $10K for relocation.
