About Mammography Jobs

Mammography is a system that produces breasts images using a low-dose x-ray system. Viewing of the images can be done in various formats such as film at a view box or on a digital mammography work station. Mammography plays an important role in early detection of breast cancers because it can show changes in breasts up to two years before it can be felt.

Current guidelines recommend mammography screening every year for women, beginning at age 40. However women who have had breast cancer and those who are at increased risk of breast cancer should seek expert medical advice when they should begin mammograms and about the frequency of screening. General Diagnostic Radiologist

Multiple Radiologists needed for a stable, hospital-based practice located in one of Nebraska’s larger cities. These physician job opportunities will appeal to those individuals who want to exchange a hectic and stressful lifestyle with a more balanced way of life. The group would like to ideally find four general radiologists, with two of them having extra skills in mammography and two of them having extra skills in interventional radiology. Each person will need to be able to do all modalities and the volume will be reasonable with each person required to do about 16-18K cases per year. This is a hospital-based group that is under the umbrella of one of the larger groups in America. A 1:4 call schedule, PACS, and brand new equipment are just a few perks for those who join this group. The group is offering a very substantial package with partnership opportunity, full benefits, group-funded retirement program, and 8-10 week’s vacation. The surrounding countryside with a beautiful national monument, lovely rivers, an airport, and many historical sites, along with this great location, make this a wonderful job opportunity.
