About Mammography Jobs
Mammography is a system that produces breasts images using a low-dose x-ray system. Viewing of the images can be done in various formats such as film at a view box or on a digital mammography work station. Mammography plays an important role in early detection of breast cancers because it can show changes in breasts up to two years before it can be felt.
Current guidelines recommend mammography screening every year for women, beginning at age 40. However women who have had breast cancer and those who are at increased risk of breast cancer should seek expert medical advice when they should begin mammograms and about the frequency of screening. MMS is looking for dedicated radiologists to provide radiology services to two imaging centers in Dallas and Fort Worth. These positions will require some onsite coverage to oversee contrast injections. The remaining hours can be covered via teleradiology. This is an excellent opportunity for those radiologists looking for part-time work or a larger group wishing to add additional volume. Modalities consist of MRI, US, CT, and NM.
