About Mammography Jobs
Mammography is a system that produces breasts images using a low-dose x-ray system. Viewing of the images can be done in various formats such as film at a view box or on a digital mammography work station. Mammography plays an important role in early detection of breast cancers because it can show changes in breasts up to two years before it can be felt.
Current guidelines recommend mammography screening every year for women, beginning at age 40. However women who have had breast cancer and those who are at increased risk of breast cancer should seek expert medical advice when they should begin mammograms and about the frequency of screening. St. Louis area Radiology Opening
A partnership opportunity exists for a radiologist to join a group in the suburbs of St. Louis. They are looking for a general radiologist who is comfortable with all modalities, but someone with a fellowship in BI, MSK, or MRI would be ideal. They staff a hospital and an imaging center and have PACS, voice recognition software, two 1.5 CT’s, and one 3T MR. The group offers 10 weeks of vacation, a generous CME allowance, a 401K, and a health insurance package which includes vision and dental. The practice also has a Nighthawk provider that covers the evenings so call would be light.
This would be a great opportunity for someone who wanted access to St. Louis, but wanted the peace of the suburbs. The volumes are expected to be low in the neighborhood of 16,000 per year, therefore a person would have ample opportunity to enjoy their family or any of the arts or culture that St. Louis has to offer.
