Corroborate patient's clinical history with procedure, assuring information is documented in accordance with the department's standards.
Explain procedure to the patient and provide humane, appropriate care, and communication to alleviate the patient fear of examination and correctly position the patient for the examination.
Prepare patient for procedures; providing instructions to obtain desired results, gain cooperation and minimize anxiety.
Select and operate breast imaging equipment and associated devices to achieve desired results.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
Possess and maintain either:
a current certification as a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist with the California Department of Health Services, Radiologic Health Branch (CDHS-RHB)
OR
a current certification and registration as a Radiologic Technologist as determined by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT).
and
Possess and maintain a current certification and registration as a Mammography Technologist as determined by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-MAM).
Possess experience as a Mammography Technologist performing at a minimum of 200 mammograms within the past 24 months in a clinical facility of similar size and complexity.
