About Mammography Tech Jobs

Mammography is a system that produces breasts images using a low-dose x-ray system. Viewing of the images can be done in various formats such as film at a view box or on a digital mammography work station. Mammography plays an important role in early detection of breast cancers because it can show changes in breasts up to two years before it can be felt.

Current guidelines recommend mammography screening every year for women, beginning at age 40. However women who have had breast cancer and those who are at increased risk of breast cancer should seek expert medical advice when they should begin mammograms and about the frequency of screening. Ultrasonographer needed

A freestanding joint-venture outpatient imaging center is seeking an experienced Ultrasonographer who is ARDMS certified. You can expect to do approximately 8-12 US scans per day in such areas as Abdominal, Liver, Gallbladder, pelvic and aorta. They are performing a high percentage of breast work to include US cyst aspirations and US guided core biopsies as well as vascular US including duplex studies of the lower leg, upper arm and carotid. Equipment includes a GE Logic 700. This is the first facility in the region to use a picture arching system (PACS) to study x-ray images. The ideal candidate will be registered (RDMS), able to work independently, and also able to work side by side comfortably with the radiologists. You would report directly to the Center Administrator. Benefits include: Health and Dental Insurance, vacation, sick days holidays and a negotiable relocation package. Initial income will be anywhere from $31.00-$34.00 based upon the candidate's experience.
