Clear and detailed pictures of internal organs and tissues can be made with MRI (magnetic resonance imaging). This test uses radiofrequency waves and a strong magnetic field rather than x-rays to provide images. The procedure helps diagnosing problems in all parts of the body. MRI is unique because it can also create detailed images of blood vessels without the use of contrast material. However there is a movement toward using special non-iodinated contrast material like gadolinium. Specialized equipment is used to perform a MRI. Fellowship Trained Radiologist
Texas physician job opportunity for one or more fellowship trained Radiologists in a desirable, urban coastal area of the state. This private group is seeking to add additional radiologists due to their expansion of a new hospital contract. This is a partnership opportunity with a very short track to partnership! They are open to a Body Imager, Musculoskeletal, Neuro, Women’s Imager, or Interventional radiologist for these positions. They only look at fellowship trained physicians and do try to keep each individual in their area of sub-specialty interest! You will be expected to do some general work, but the bulk of that comes when you are taking call. A very strong benefits package, Nighthawk for the call after 9:00 pm, an 8-5 daily shift, and a 1:5 call schedule combine to make this an extremely desirable opportunity. The city is home to a Naval Air Station and is served by an international airport. The area has a marine climate, enjoying similar temperatures to those of other Gulf Coast regions, but lower precipitation as it is located in a semi-arid region. There are many popular destinations available, including an aquarium, museums, institute of arts, theatres, botanical gardens, nature centers, and a very large national park. This is a great opportunity that will not last!
