About MRI Jobs
Clear and detailed pictures of internal organs and tissues can be made with MRI (magnetic resonance imaging). This test uses radiofrequency waves and a strong magnetic field rather than x-rays to provide images. The procedure helps diagnosing problems in all parts of the body. MRI is unique because it can also create detailed images of blood vessels without the use of contrast material. However there is a movement toward using special non-iodinated contrast material like gadolinium. Specialized equipment is used to perform a MRI. General Radiology/Nuclear Medicine
TeamHealth Radiology has opened up a position for a full time general radiologist at Columbus Regional Medical Center. The ideal candidate would have special interest, training and/or experience in Nuclear Medicine and PET-CT.
Columbus Regional offers a level 2 trauma center and a regional referral system. This is a private, nonprofit, 400 bed hospital located approximately 90 minutes southwest of Atlanta. The campus includes a 50,000 sq. ft. cancer center and a free standing 8,000 sq. ft. breast care center.
This state-of-the-art facility is fully PACS integrated with a new GE-Discovery PET-CT, Siemens 40-slice CT, Siemens 16-slice CT, Siemens 1.5 Tesla MRI, Siemens 1.5 open MRI, Siemens nuclear medicine E-cam and overall equipment upgrades of nearly $10 million in the past four years. (McKesson PACS and Dictaphone – Powerscribe Voice Recognition software)
This position offers a guaranteed base salary, 10 weeks paid time off, full health benefits, professional liability insurance, $8,000 annual CME allowance, teleradiology coverage, relocation allowance and 401(k). The nine (9) member group performs approximately 153,000 annual studies.
