About Florida Nuclear Medicine Jobs
Nuclear Medicine jobs are regulated by the Florida Medical Board. As part of the Health Care Practitioner Regulation, the mission of the Florida Board of Medicine is to protect health care consumers by establishing and enforcing health care standards, licensing qualified health care practitioners and facilities, and disseminating health care information to the public. The Florida Board of Medicine evaluates applications for licensure and examination, conducts board meetings, administers policy, issues final orders in imposing discipline, reviews and approves continuing education providers, and audits licensure compliance for continuing education.
A growing group in a metro location on the west coast of Florida is looking to add an additional interveventional/dx. radiologist. The group of 6 is currently covering 3 hospitals and several hospital- owned outpatient centers. They have very strong relations with the hospitals administration and a great reputation in the area with referring clinicians.
You can expect at least 50% IR and also read most other diagnostic modalities including: MR, CT, MSK, Neuro, US, Fluoro, plain films, nucs, and mammo is optional, not required. Equipment includes: one 4-slice, 16-slice, two 1.5 GE MR's, McKesson PACS implemented through the hospital and a 64- slice on its way.
General call is 1:3 on the weekends, to be a 1:4 once staffed up, and one day every week and a half for the weekdays from 5p-11p via telerad from home. Call is back-up to nighthawk from 11p-7a Mon-Sun.
Initial salary is at least $350K depending on your experience and there is no more than an 18 month partnership tract (negotiable), with 8 weeks vacation year one. Partner's earnings are $500K+ with 12- 13 weeks vacation. They are seeing their salaries increase each month because of the volume out of the outpatient centers.
