Permanent need in upstate New York. It is essential that all candidates be Board certified in Radiology and be able to read basic MR and CTA of the brain. Ideal candidate would be a radiologist with interest and high level skill in US as well as someone double boarded in radiology and nuclear medicine or with special competence.
Breast program is small and do only needle localizations and the occasional US guided biopsy but no stereotactic procedures. Generalist should be MQSA certified and comfortable helping out as needed in breast department.
The hospital is a level I trauma center and coverage is required from 8a-12 mn 365 days/yr. Weekend and nite obligations are 2 rads every weekend: one 8-4 and the other 2-12mn. The late weekday rad works 5p-12mn. So candidate needs to be comfortable with taking call.
