NUCLEAR MEDICINE TECHNOLOGIST


Come explore the Bay area of California. Experience the sights, the sounds, the food, the entertainment, and the natural beauty of the area. This assignment will be for two to six months at least. The housing will be 15 to 20 minutes from the facility and will be provided. This assignment is a great resume builder.

1. Certifications: ARRT (N) or NMTCB-CNMT, candidate must have one of these certifications.
2. Licensure: California state license is required for this assignment,
3. Experience: Minimum of five years of hospital based Nuclear Medicine experience. They would also like to see, but do not require at least two years of PET and/or PET/CT experience.
4. Equipment/Procedures: You will be using Phillips Sky Light, Siemens E-Cam w/ E Soft, Digi Rad, and GE Hawkeye. You will be expected to perform full scope of general and cardiac Nuclear Medicine procedures. If candidate has knowledge of PET will be placed into the PET department to perform PET exams.
5. Environment: Nuclear Medicine department has five technologists. The department is attached to the main Radiology department in the hospital. If candidate is transferred to PET, will be working alone most of the time at remote locations on the hospital property. You will work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. You may need to work a quality assurance shift once in awhile from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM. There will be no weekends, no call, and limited holiday coverage. Overtime is available for these positions.
