About California Nuclear Medicine Tech Jobs
Nuclear Medicine Tech jobs are regulated by the California Medical Board. The mission of the Medical Board of California is to protect healthcare consumers through the proper licensing and regulation of physicians and surgeons and certain allied healthcare professions and through the vigorous, objective enforcement of the Medical Practice Act, and, to promote access to quality medical care to all California citizens through the Board's licensing and regulatory functions.
1. Certifications: ARRT (N) or NMTCB-CNMT, candidate must have one of these certifications.
2. Licensure: California state license is required for this assignment,
3. Experience: Minimum of five years of hospital based Nuclear Medicine experience. They would also like to see, but do not require at least two years of PET and/or PET/CT experience.
4. Equipment/Procedures: You will be using Phillips Sky Light, Siemens E-Cam w/ E Soft, Digi Rad, and GE Hawkeye. You will be expected to perform full scope of general and cardiac Nuclear Medicine procedures. If candidate has knowledge of PET will be placed into the PET department to perform PET exams.
5. Environment: Nuclear Medicine department has five technologists. The department is attached to the main Radiology department in the hospital. If candidate is transferred to PET, will be working alone most of the time at remote locations on the hospital property. You will work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. You may need to work a quality assurance shift once in awhile from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM. There will be no weekends, no call, and limited holiday coverage. Overtime is available for these positions.
