StatGroup LLC, a leading medical staffing company, has an immediate Nuclear Medicine position.
Location: New York
1. Certifications: ARRT or NMTCB
2. Licensure: New York License a Plus, but not Required.
3. Experience: At least five years nuclear medicine experience. KNowledge of current Nuclear Medicine practices, treatments, and of various Radioisotopes including iodine 131, 125 Tc 99m Xenon 133 with the various tracer agents. Ability to insert IV's for inject of Radionuclide isotope tracer Agent for scan and blood acquisition for red blood tagged studies. The applicant must have experience with various gamma cameras, knowledge of various collimators for various photon energies associated with various isotopes. Good IV skills, cognoscente of Radiation rules and regulations. PACS experience preferred.

6. Assignment Duration: 26 Weeks
7. Start Date: March 24, 2008
8. Duties: Pulmonary ventilation scans, bone scans, bone density, DEXA, liver, renal MUGA, Cardio profusion studies, stress metastasis surveys, thyroid scans, and ablation studies (I 131 Therapy). Perform imaging of these studies, transfer images to PACS system for reading by radiologist, access patient information from the HLR-7 for the work list in order to perform study. Perform administration of therapy dose to patient with the knowledge to prep inpatient therapy room to prevent radiation contamination.
