About Oregon Nuclear Medicine Tech Jobs
Nuclear Medicine Tech jobs are regulated by the Oregon Medical Board. The mission of the Oregon Medical Board is to protect the health, safety, and well being of Oregon citizens by regulating the practice of medicine in a manner that promotes quality care.
A Bachelor-s degree in Microbiology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field including courses in Nuclear Medicine Technology; OR be qualified as a Medical Technologist, Radiologic Technologist or Registered Nurse including training or experience in nuclear medicine imaging; OR an equivalent combination of training and experience. The training and experience must show a) knowledge of theory, practice and techniques of nuclear medicine; b) skill operating clinical nuclear medicine equipment; and c) skill performing nuclear medicine testing including the preparation and use of isotopes and radiopharmaceutical. Graduate of an approved AMA training program in Nuclear Medicine technology. One year of previous hospital experience. Will consider qualified new graduate students. Must have good judgment, decision-making, and communication skills. Must be ARRT (N) registered or eligible and/or NMTCB registered or eligible. Student applicants must be registry eligible upon hire, and successfully obtain registry within one year of hire. Must have current CPR certification.
