John Peter Smith Hospital is a teaching hospital that is licensed for 459 beds with a Level II Trauma Center and a Level III NICU. Description: Under the direct supervision of the Director of Radiology and the professional direction of attending Radiologist, the Nuclear Medicine Lead Tech Pool position will perform a variety of specialized technical procedures for appropriate diagnosis; assumes responsibility for the designated areas and may be required to perform administrative tasks. The Nuclear Medicine Lead Technologist will perform specialized nuclear procedures on all patient populations including geriatrics, adults, children, and infants. Performs various routine nuclear medicine diagnostic, therapeutic, and cardiac procedures. Pool position requires variable/rotating shifts on an as needed basis.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine and/or a minimum of 4-5 years nuclear medicine experience required. 3 years supervisory experience required (6 years preferred). Must be ARRT or CNMT registered or registry eligible with registration within one year of hire. Current BCLS is required.
