Medical Director Radiologist needed in Portland!
Portland, Oregon - Providence Health & Services and a large Portland radiology practice are partnering to bring an Interventional Radiologist to lead the group's interventional radiology program. The new medical director's responsibilities will include leadership, program monitoring, creation of quality initiatives and protocols, and participation in vascular and cancer strategy plans. Also seeking to add another IV Radiologist to the group in full time clinical capacity. Both positions are full time; medical directorship equivalent of one day per week with balance in clinical practice. Competitive starting salary, one-year partnership track. Group currently has 13 physicians, including body, women, neuroradiology and musculoskeletal imagers as well as interventional radiologists. Interventional services team provides all aspects of interventional care, including venous laser occlusion, TIPS, stenting and uterine embolizations. High tech equipment includes a 64-slice scanner and two 16-slice scanners, one 3.0 T magnet and two 1.5 T magnets.
Group practices in Providence Portland Medical Center and two outpatient imaging centers. Providence Portland Medical Center is a major landmark along Interstate 84 in east Portland. The facility has 483 beds and numerous award-winning programs and services, including one of the best internal medicine residency programs in the nation. In early 2008, Providence Portland dedicated a new cancer center that is unmatched on the West Coast in terms of the breadth of services and technologies available under one roof.
