General Radiology Position

A private group of 12 radiologists all of which are partners are seeking a General Radiologist to replace a retiring partner.  The group covers one hospital consisting of 4 different locations and two group-owned imaging centers.  There is some travel between locations based upon where you live and your sub-specialty.

While this is a general position the group would like someone with fellowship training in Breast Imaging, Body Imaging, MSK, Neuro or IR and you would get a small percentage of that specialty work as it comes in.  A Breast Imager must be able to read Breast MR and handle Breast Interventions.  They are not doing the high-end vascular interventions but there is a need for someone to do basic IR such as biopsies and drainages.

General reads consist of:  MR, CT, US (Gen, OB and Vascular), MSK, MRA/CTA, Neuro, fluoro, plain films and Mammo.  All equipment is state-of-the-art with a new 16-slice scanner being installed in one of the centers this summer. PACS in the hospital is GE Centricity and the centers use SECTRA and GE.

Weekday call is from 5pm – 8pm and weekend call is from 7am – 6pm and rotated equally between all radiologists.  There is a nighthawk service that picks up from 8pm-7am during the week and 6pm-7am on the weekends and holidays.

Benefits include:  paid malpractice, full family medical, dental and optical insurance, disability and life insurance, tax shelters and pension plans and a negotiable relocation package.  Vacation time is 9 weeks for all radiologists.
