* LOCATED in the center of New York State, the city of Syracuse is in the beautiful Finger Lakes Region near Lake Ontario and Lake Oneida. A short distance from Rochester, Albany, Canada, the St. Lawrence River, the Adirondack Mountains and the Thousand Islands. There is a large selection of year round sports which includes many snow skiing and summer resorts and many tournament class golf courses. There is a Casino with regular scheduled Las Vegas quality shows and concerts.
This metro area has 156k people living in the city and 456k in the county. There is an international airport with direct jet service to most major cities in the US. High quality education available. The job market is high tech in nature with health care research, a teaching hospital, a large pharmaceutical manufacturer and many engineering companies such as Welch Allen and Lockheed Martin to name a couple. There are many highways and very low traffic congestion. Home prices are extremely inexpensive, as well as apartments, as compared to national averages.There is a rapidly expanding regional shopping mall located in the heart of the city with seventeen (17) stadium tiered seating cinema theaters. The region has many rolling hills and lakes. Moderate summer climate with average temperatures in the mid to high 70s. Seasonal climate changes are colorful. Low crime rate.
* COMPENSATION ranges from CT CERTIFIED ONLY $45k to 52k. MRI & CT CERTIFIED 60k to 62.4k. NEGOTIABLE.
* WORK SCHEDULE (approximate) is Monday through Friday DAYS, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm or 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Hours have yet to be set.
* LICENSE and EDUCATION required is a application for or possession of a New York State license. Completion of a accredited and approved training program.
ARRT CERTIFICATION required for Diagnostic Imaging and in ADVANCED PROCEDURES such as CT/ COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY and a MRI / Magnetic Resonance Imaging preferred. CT certification is required ( or close to taking a exam)
* EQUIPMENT: CT is a GE 16 slice. The MRI is a GE 1.5 Excite.
* JOB DESCRIPTION : Patient load will be approximately 6-7 patients per day
whihc will include Arthograms and Injections.
* BENEFITS
1.) HEALTH CARE: There is three (3) health care plans each with four (4) tiers: (1) Employee, (2) Employee and child(ren), (3) Employee & spouse, (4) Employee and family42 day waiting period on health insurance,on dental and vision (no charge for the dental & vision coverage). Plan costs vary from $20.00 biweekly for single coverage and up to $190.00/biweekly for employee & family coverage.
2.) DENTAL plan includes 2 cleanings annually. Employee is responsible for a small percentage of cost towards all additional services. There is a 6 month waiting period prior to being excepted into the plan.
3.) VISION coverage includes Bi-annual eyeglasses at no cost. Employee is responsible for a small percentage of cost towards contact lenses. There is a 6 month waiting period prior to being excepted into the plan.
4.) VACATION: Earn 4 hours vacation per pay period (biweekly) Additional vacation days earned on anniversary date (1 day on 1st anniversary, 2 days on 2nd anniversary, maxing out at 7 days on 7th anniversary). Can carry over from year to year max of 40 hours of vacation.
5.) PERSONAL: Accrue 5 personal days per year.
6.) SICK: Accrue 4 hours sick leave per pay period. Can carry over from year to year max of 200 hours of sick leave.
7.) HOLIDAYS: 4 floating holidays each year, plus 8 paid holidays.
8.) RETIREMENT PLAN: After 5 years of employment - fully vested in retirement plan. 8% of annual salary is the employer contribution to the retirement plan effective after 1 year of employment. No requirement for employee to match.
