This large, subspecialized radiology group located in Northern Virginia, near Washington, DC is expanding and recruiting their 12th breast imaging radiologist. Radiology services are provided at three hospitals totaling over 1,100 beds. The practice also owns and operates two dedicated breast centers, an outpatient center with breast imaging, and several other multi-modality outpatient imaging centers, a dedicated ultrasound center, and three MRI centers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The position will be 80% breast imaging, with the balance in general/diagnostic imaging. Your primary focus will be at the two breast centers, although some rotation through the hospitals and other centers may be needed from time to time. Weekend rotations are roughly 1:4, as the breast centers are open on both Saturday and Sunday. State-of-the-art equipment includes four GE full-field digital units, and GE and Lorad analog mammography units. Image guided vacuum assisted biopsies are performed using a Lorad prone stereo guide table and dedicated GE ultrasound units. The group has a very active breast-MRI and biopsy service. Examinations are performed on a GE 1.5 with parallel imaging.
