This “hybrid” private/academic program is seeking their eighth, full-time faculty member in the Division of Pediatric Radiology# The successful candidate will participate in the clinical and educational programs of their comprehensive division# An interest in research is preferred as the practice offers no less than 20% academic time! Expansion includes a new ten-story tower and a new ED at the children’s hospital, making it one of the largest in the country#
Expect 100% pediatric imaging# A wide variety of pediatric imaging should be expected, with experience and interest in pediatric cardiac imaging/MR is needed# Their diverse case mix is due to the affiliation with the university, veterans, children’s, community, county, suburban and various private hospitals, although your primary lo#ation will be the Children’s hospital# All departments are entirely state-of-the-art, completely digital, and the program has outstanding relationships with Phillips and Siemen’s#
Call is in support of the residents and fellows, and will be roughly only one in seven weeks# One member shares pediatric and adult call, and therefore has a reduced rotation in the call schedule#
There is negotiability for initial compensation based on experience and current rank, and typically no more than one year to partnership for practicing physicians# There is preference for incoming pediatric radiologists to join on the tenure track# #low-to-mid $300's to start, low-to-mid $400's as partner#
Benefits Package: The comprehensive benefits package is worth roughly $75,000 and includes: malpractice coverage; 10 weeks of vacation and six holidays; medical, dental, disability and life insurance; pretax account for vision coverage; fully funded pension and profit sharing accounts; and a negotiable relo#ation package#
The group and section are quite cohesive. It is crucial for the incoming physician to be able to work in a team environment, collaborating with referring clinicians and sub-specialists. There are also occasional social events the section participates in, including staff personnel.
