The Director of Cardiovascular Services will provide leadership to the Cardiovascular Lab, Cardiovascular Recovery, Cardiac Rehab, Cardiology, and Respiratory Care departments.

The primary purpose of the position is to coordinate resources and collaborate with physicians and management to ensure service level compliance with the strategic direction of the organization.

This position provides oversight on issues such as human resources, operations, finances, and contracts for identified area(s). This person acts as the primary liaison for all physicians involved in Cardiovascular Services, facilitating decision-making and agreement on selection of patient supplies, materials and informatics specific to this area. This position will functions as the leader of the Cardiovascular Leadership Team.

This position requires:

  • Five + years progressive leadership experience in Cardiovascular Services (Cardiovascular Lab, Cardiovascular Recovery, Cardiac Rehab, Cardiology, and/or Respiratory Care) in a high-volume open heart program.
  • Two or more years of recent direct Cath Lab management experience in a high volume program.
  • Bachelor`s degree in Radiology, Nursing, Health Administration, Business Administration or an equivalent degree.
  • Have current licensure in one of the following areas (or be eligible for certification upon hire in the state of Oregon): Registered Nurse, Registered Radiologic Technologist, Registered Respiratory Therapist, or Registered Cardiovascular Technologist.
  • Excellent attention to detail and creative problem solving abilities.
  • Ability to work well under pressure on concurrent, multidisciplinary projects.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be able to work effectively with diverse groups of people, including staff from information technology and clinical backgrounds, materials management, physicians and external vendors.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two + years of recent Management level experience in Cardiovascular Services setting within a high-volume open heart program providing overall leadership to the following services: Cardiovascular Lab, Cardiovascular Recovery, Cardiac Rehab, Cardiology, and Respiratory Care.
  • Expert knowledge of various external market forces affecting Cardiovascular Services specific to hospitals, practitioners, and third party payers.
  • MHA, MBA, or MSN.
  • Registered Nurse, or Registered Radiologic Technologist.
