The Echocardiography Coordinator is a team member in a leadership capacity under the direction of the Clinical Director of Cardiovascular Services. Coordinates department activities and supports staff in providing compassionate care and services to patients and families. Assures effective utilization of resources.
Major responsibilities included but not limited to:
Performs high quality echocardiograms.
Provides leadership for diagnostic excellence, personnel management, resource management, and quality assurance.
Ensures adequate staffing, staff competency, and professional development.
Provides input on budget
Makes recommendations for capital purchases.
Establishes effective relationships with physicians
The job may have additional responsibilities as assigned. All job duties must be performed in a manner that demonstrates Our Personal Accountabilities, Core Values, Behavioral Expectations, and the Mission & Values of PeaceHealth Oregon Region.
Qualifications:
Seven years experience as a diagnostic cardiac sonographer in a major medical center strongly preferred. Previous leadership experience in a diagnostic ultrasound lab required.
Education:
Must be a graduate of an accredited ultrasound program with emphasis in cardiac sonography.
Licensure/Certification:
ARDMS or RDCS required. Pediatric credential strongly preferred.
Special Skills Required:
Skilled in all aspects of echocardiography including transthoracic, pediatric, transesophageal and stress echo.

2. Licensure: No state license required.
3. Experience: Seven years experience required.
