Part of the nation’s largest nonprofit integrated health plan, Kaiser Permanente Northern California serves approximately 3.1 million people throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and Sacramento and Central Valleys with 20 medical centers and numerous medical offices, all of which utilize HealthConnect™, Kaiser Permanente’s electronic medical records system. The region has active cardiovascular surgical programs such as the San Francisco Medical Center which was ranked as one of the top 50 heart hospitals in the nation by “US News and World Report.” The Santa Clara Medical Center expanded its cardiac catheterization lab in 2008, while the San Rafael Medical Center’s staff includes four diagnostic cardiologists and seven interventional cardiologists.

 

Kaiser Permanente Northern California is expanding their state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization programs. As a result, this is an excellent time to consideration joining one of the nation’s leading health care organizations as an integral member of a professional team. Our requirements include the following:

 

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
  • Completion of a two-year training program in cardiopulmonary technology OR successful completion of a twelve-month on-the-job training program in a licensed catheterization lab
  • California Radiology Technologist certification
  • Fluoroscopy, BLS, and ACLS certifications
  • Knowledge of contract media, ionic vs. nonionic
  • Knowledge of coronary artery anatomy and cardiac physiology in relation to invasive cardiac procedures
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency and attention to detail in the use of collimationa and fluoro time
  • Ability to work in a Labor Management Partnership environment
