Special Procedures Radiology Technician #2068


Special Procedures Radiology Technologist

 

Conducts high quality radiographic examinations using ingenuity, initiative and independent judgment of patients in a safe and timely manner, as ordered by physicians.  Performs special procedures following appropriate imaging protocols under the direction of the radiologist. Obtains patient history, explains procedures and addresses patient concerns as demonstrated by documentation and feedback. Performs all necessary checks of diagnosis, prescription, chart and patient identification as demonstrated by documentation. Compiles and reviews image, provides applicable comparison studies, and prepares paperwork for radiologist review.

 

Responsible for the maintenance of good operating condition of Special Procedures digital radiographic equipment.  Responsible for ordering and stocking Special Procedures supplies as necessary. 

 

Special procedure experience including assistance with the insertion of PICC lines, port line replacement, dialysis shunt placement, nephrostomy, kyphoplasty, embolization, and arteriograms.

 

Two to five (2 to 5) Years RECENT Experience
