Interventional Radiology Nurse Practitioner
Scott & White is currently looking for an Interventional Radiology Nurse Practitioner. An IR NP is responsible for many aspects of an IR department’s success, performing diverse tasks such as doing an H & P, removing a port-a-cath and inserting PICC lines. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with our seven Interventional Radiologists. Other team members include an experienced NP, a Nurse Clinician and a scheduler. The job combines the roles of Educator (we have several research projects) and proceduralist. This position also entails community education, training the public on vascular disease and familiarizing them with what Interventional Radiology can do for them by introducing them to procedures like Vertebroplasty, Radiofrequency Ablation, Cryoablation, Aneurism coiling and regular angioplasty. This position is full-time, 5 days a week, and does not require call.
