Dosimetrist

Redwood Regional Medical Group is currently looking for a full-time Staff Dosimetrist for our expanding practice.  Current clinical staffing in Radiation Oncology includes 3 Medical Physicists, 4 dosimetrists, one Dosimetrist Assistant, and 6  Radiation Oncologists. 

 

The Radiation Oncology department, which consists of four Varian accelerators with DMLC for IMRT, is doing IGRT with Varian’s OBI, stereotactic radiosurgery, prostate seed implants and HDR with the Nucletron Plato system.  External beam planning is with the Philips Pinnacle (versions 7.6 and 8.0m)  The department is also equipped with a GE Lightspeed CT, a GE PET-CT, and VARIS.

 

Responsibilities consist of all aspects of treatment planning, including IMRT planning using DMPO for a very active IMRT program, 3D external beam, brachytherapy,  CT-Sim and participation in complex simulation set ups.  Some travel between sites may be necessary. 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • 3 years clinical dosimetry experience is required.
  • CMD certification is preferred.
  • ADAC/Pinnacle system experience is required.
  • Experience with Nucletron Plato planning system preferred.
