Radiation Therapist

Redwood Regional Medical Group (RRMG) is currently looking for a Radiation Therapist to join our Radiation Oncology team at our Santa Rosa,office located in Northern California. We have over 40 years of experience in treating patients and we offer IMRT at all of our Radiation Oncology locations.

Responsibilites:

Operates the linear accelerators and all specialization accessories inherent to each in accordance with the radiation oncologist's prescription and description and department standards.
Responsible for patient treatment schedules, for patient setups and for charting of radiation exposures.
Responsible for warmup, simple preventative maintenance, and smooth functioning of linear accelerator.
Operates simulation equipment, records treatment parameters and physical dimensions and prepares documentation.
Prepares and uses patient immobilization devices and beam modifiers.
Performs simple dosimetric calculations, to be checked by the dosimetrist.
Collaborates effectively with physicians and patients.

Qualifications:

Completion of a therapeutic radiological technology training program at an approved school
Certified Radiologic Technologist in Therapeutic Technology from the State of California
ARRT certification required.
CPR certified.
Minimum 2 years experience as a staff radiation therapist.
Experience on Varian equipment preferred.
