As part of the Health Care Practitioner Regulation, the mission of the Florida Board of Medicine is to protect health care consumers by establishing and enforcing health care standards, licensing qualified health care practitioners and facilities, and disseminating health care information to the public. Chief Radiation Therapist
The Chief Radiation Therapist is competent, in technique and theory, with a broadened knowledge base in the management of Radiation Oncology patients. Acts as a senior resource and is able to coordinate departmental activities under emergent or unusual situations. Responsible for the overall supervision of the Radiation Oncology technical staff and Miami Dade College Radiation Therapy students.
Interested candidates must have at least 5 consecutive years of full-time radiation oncology work experience, with direct supervisory clinical experience for 2 of the 5 years. A minimum of an Associate's degree in Radiation Therapy, ARRT registered and a Florida Radiation Therapy license is required. Must have current knowledge of laws and regulations related to the area of Radiation Oncology with a basic understanding of organizational behavior and management theory.
