About Radiology Jobs
According to the AMA, only 1.2% of physicians specialize in radiology (compare that with 16.7% of physicians that practice the specialty of internal medicine). The radiologist is unlike other physicians because diagnoses and interpretations are made from medical images. Images are taken in a variety of ways by using x-rays or with radioactive substances. Some images are produced by sound waves or the body's innate magnetism. Along with the medical image findings, a radiologist correlates them with other tests, and makes recommendations for additional examinations or treatments.(Source: radiologyinfo.com)

This quaint country town is conveniently located close to the Ohio boarder and is about an hour and fifteen minutes from Cleveland and about the same distance to Pittsburgh.
This Town is at the junction of the Shenango and Neshannock rivers. This is a great town to raise a family; it offers an abundance of outdoor activities, as well as many cultural features.
Golf enthusiasts can enjoy a good round of golf at many local golf courses.
This dynamic and fun loving Radiology group are in need of a General or Subspecialty trained radiologist must be able to perform all modalities and perform light biopsies and drainages. Interventional skills not required. The hospital is a 350-bed facility with alot of new equipment and technology. PAC, voice recognition, 2 MRI's3 CT'sAS, Nuclear, Mammography and much more.
There are 20 radiologists in total. They want to be 20-22. PACS system as well as nighthawk. After 10:00 pm. Call at worst 1/3 or 1/4 or weekends 1/6. Partnership automatically after 1 year. 450k to 500K. 550k plus with partnership. 50k sign on bonus for the right candidate, plus great benefits.
Volume is about 300 studies per day. 2.5 radiologists handle the volume very nicely plus the support of an Interventional radiologist 3 days a week. The hospital and the community are very stable making a great work environment.
