About Radiology Jobs
According to the AMA, only 1.2% of physicians specialize in radiology (compare that with 16.7% of physicians that practice the specialty of internal medicine). The radiologist is unlike other physicians because diagnoses and interpretations are made from medical images. Images are taken in a variety of ways by using x-rays or with radioactive substances. Some images are produced by sound waves or the body's innate magnetism. Along with the medical image findings, a radiologist correlates them with other tests, and makes recommendations for additional examinations or treatments.(Source: radiologyinfo.com)

This is a well-established and prominent group of 20 Radiologists. There is a brand new Medical Center in the process of being completed in 2009. Along with their new Angio suite the group boasts on their State of the Art equipment. There is an immediate need for an Interventional Radiologist. The candidates will be working out of two hospitals. The candidate must be familiar with all aspects of Interventional radiology and would be expected to do up to 80% with 20% General Diagnostics. There is a 2-year partnership track; the call is 1-4 Extra pay for IR call. Nighthawk kicks in 9pm to 7am. PAC in place. Salary is 450k plus bonuses, Partners make 675k +.
