About Radiology Jobs
According to the AMA, only 1.2% of physicians specialize in radiology (compare that with 16.7% of physicians that practice the specialty of internal medicine). The radiologist is unlike other physicians because diagnoses and interpretations are made from medical images. Images are taken in a variety of ways by using x-rays or with radioactive substances. Some images are produced by sound waves or the body's innate magnetism. Along with the medical image findings, a radiologist correlates them with other tests, and makes recommendations for additional examinations or treatments.(Source: radiologyinfo.com)
Women's Imager / Interventional Radiologist
Move to beautiful North Carolina. Only 30 minutes south of Fayetteville. This community offers a wonderful cultural flavor, including a large Civic Center bringing world renowned entertainers to the area. The town boasts a summer theatre training program for young children, as well as a planetarium as well as parks and plenty of outdoor recreation. The community also offers a lot of culture, theatre, and arts. Education is excellent; top notch public schools as well as private schools in the area.
The hospital has been serving Southeastern North Carolina since 1970. LRA is locally owned and managed by physicians and is dedicated to providing our community with the best possible medical care.
Due to retirement, this well established group of 6 dedicated radiologists has an immediate need of a radiologist who can perform both Interventional Radiology, and women’s imager. The candidate must also be willing to do general diagnostic radiology. Must be MQSA certified.
The group has PAC, CR as well as Night Hawk which runs 24/7.
Call is 1/5 week-end call is 1 out of 3 months. Vacation 10 weeks with 2 weeks CME, Schedule is set 1 year in advance, can switch amongst each other. 1year to partnership. The practice offers a generous salary plus benefits all to be discussed by the group.
