According to the AMA, only 1.2% of physicians specialize in radiology (compare that with 16.7% of physicians that practice the specialty of internal medicine). The radiologist is unlike other physicians because diagnoses and interpretations are made from medical images. Images are taken in a variety of ways by using x-rays or with radioactive substances. Some images are produced by sound waves or the body's innate magnetism. Pediatric radiology opportunity with Christus Santa Rosa Health Care system in San Antonio, Texas. This opportunity will allow you to focus primarily on pediatric radiology and share in the general call rotation of 1:6. The Childrens Hospital Services include: Center for Reconstructive Pediatrics, Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders Center, Children's Heart Program, Children's Kidney Center, Pediatric Modible Unit, NICU, PICU , Ronald McDonald House, Transport Services and the Thoracic Institute - Titanium Rib Program. Ability to work with the Pediatric residents for the Unitversity of Texas, San Antonio.

Pediatric fellowship preferred, but solid pediatric focus and experience considered. Familiarity with Peds Neuro, Transplant.
