About Radiology Jobs
According to the AMA, only 1.2% of physicians specialize in radiology (compare that with 16.7% of physicians that practice the specialty of internal medicine). The radiologist is unlike other physicians because diagnoses and interpretations are made from medical images. Images are taken in a variety of ways by using x-rays or with radioactive substances. Some images are produced by sound waves or the body's innate magnetism. Along with the medical image findings, a radiologist correlates them with other tests, and makes recommendations for additional examinations or treatments.(Source: radiologyinfo.com)

Atlanta Radiology Opening
A partnership opportunity exists for a radiologist to join a small group in the Atlanta area. This group works out of one hospital and a number of outpatient imaging centers. Compensation will be in the $300,000 range to start, with partners making in excess of $500,000. The partnership track is one year. The best candidate will be a generalist, who is willing to do a little bit of everything, as they see a wide variety between their work at the hospital and the imaging center. They are set up for PACS, and call is taken from home via teleradiology.
