About Radiology Jobs
According to the AMA, only 1.2% of physicians specialize in radiology (compare that with 16.7% of physicians that practice the specialty of internal medicine). The radiologist is unlike other physicians because diagnoses and interpretations are made from medical images. Images are taken in a variety of ways by using x-rays or with radioactive substances. Some images are produced by sound waves or the body's innate magnetism. Mammographer North of NYC
A private practice an hour north of New York City is looking for a mammographer. This employee position has a starting compensation of around $350,000 with 8 weeks of vacation. This position consists of a 5 day work week with no nights, no weekends and no call. They are all digital and have both PACS and voice recognition software in place. Daily mammography reads for this 100% mammography position run about 60-70 reads per day. It is possible to live in New York City and work in this easily commutable area.
