Radiology jobs are regulated by the Pennsylvania Medical Board. The Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine regulates the practice of medicine through the licensure, registration and certification of members of the medical profession in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The Board regulates medical doctors; physician assistants; radiology technicians; respiratory care practitioners; nurse-midwives; acupuncturists; and athletic trainers practicing in the state of Pennsylvania. The Board also has the authority to take disciplinary or corrective action against the individuals it regulates.
A group of 38 radiologists are recruiting an additional Body Imaging radiologist, due to growth. This is the largest private practice group in this dynamic metro area performing around 600,000 exams/yr. The group covers 7 hospitals and 6 joint ventured outpatient imaging centers. The percentage of your sub-specialty would be around 50% with the balance in general and diagnostic imaging including mammo.
The call is equally spread, and they have a separate IR call. They have a full PACS system in place throughout their facilities.
Equipment includes: 3-16 slice CT scanners, 7 MRI’s, 13 Sequoia Accuson US units, and a mobile PET unit. The IR suites are all Siemens.
Salary starts in the mid-$300K’s upwards to $400K depending on experience, and the partnership tract is negotiable depending on experience, but no longer than 2 years. Partnership income is in the mid- high $500K's, which is MGMA compatible for this large desirable metropolitan community.
