About Radiology Jobs
According to the AMA, only 1.2% of physicians specialize in radiology (compare that with 16.7% of physicians that practice the specialty of internal medicine). The radiologist is unlike other physicians because diagnoses and interpretations are made from medical images. Images are taken in a variety of ways by using x-rays or with radioactive substances. Some images are produced by sound waves or the body's innate magnetism. Along with the medical image findings, a radiologist correlates them with other tests, and makes recommendations for additional examinations or treatments.(Source: radiologyinfo.com)
General with mammo
Very stable group of four Board Certified Radiologists who are all partners. The group is looking to bring on a general radiologist who also does mammography (200 reads a month). The hospital does have digital equipment. Experience in reading CT, MRI, MSK, Neuro, nuclear and PET/CT would be ideal. Minor interventional procedures, biopsies and drains are a plus! This candidate would read approximately 100K studies per day.
Not-for-profit, private regional hospital, licensed by the Arkansas State Health Department and accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. The physicians, healthcare professionals and care team members work together to provide South Arkansas families the best medical care available anywhere. The group is also affiliated with another hospital in the area as well as an outpatient imaging center.
There is brand new PACS in place with voice recognition and an open MRI, all state of the art equipment. Night hawk starts at 10:00 PM until 7:00 AM. Call would be 1:5 every fifth week-end.
Salary would be 350K which is negotiable, 10 weeks of vacation and this is a partnership opportunity 1-2 years which is negotiable as well. They are very flexible for the right candidate.
